Five former players are suing the NFL Players Association in federal court, reports indicate. The five retirees say they and thousands of other players are entitled to millions of dollars in royalties from video games, trading cards, apparel and other products in which their voices and photos were used.
Former Bengals S Marvin Cobb, former Colts LB Bob Grant, former Browns DB Bernie Parrish and former Redskins WR Walter Roberts III are among those suing the NFLPA.
The class-action lawsuit was filed April 13 in Los Angeles.
The NFLPA decertified as a union on March 11 and it became a trade association before filing a lawsuit against the NFL for alleged antitrust violations.
