(Hmmm, maybe this Paradise Warrior Retreat won't be such a paradise after all)
Uh-oh. Looks like Jon Jones said another thing about Rashad Evans that wasn't 1000% complimentary and reverent okay I admit was kinda dickish:
"We fought each other in practice," said Jones, who pushed his record to 13-1 with last month's triumph. "A finish has been possible several times and it has always been me finishing him. I never did it out of respect that he was the elder of the school. It's against protocol in a way. Some people would do it but I believe in tradition."
This of course led to Rashad spazzing out on Twitter:
@JoshGrossESPN lol I thought it was hilarious.. I love how humble Jones is..=)
@RoufuSportSolJa he is fake! The fighting is off the hook but as a person he is fake!
@Jonnybones it's been on!! Get off your own fan bus cuz nobody is driving!! U ain't as raw as u believe & I'm gonna show ya!!
@mattmitrione I'm just annoyed how he said he couldve finished me in practice.. R u kidding me?! Lol This dude is nuts!!
@jonnybones must b high! Cuz remember him looking at me begging me 2 let him up cuz he couldn't get back 2 his feet in training..
It seems to me like Rashad is doing his best to prove his point that friends fighting friends results in friends no longer being friends. But it seems to me that it has less to do with the fight and more to do with him being an immature bitch. Let's remember this entire tiff started because Jones said he'd honor Rashad's tite shot if he became champion. Jeez, what a totally not raw fake asshole!
Meanwhile in other eyeroll worthy friends vs friends news, Anderson Silva is saying a bromance between him and Jones means they'll never fight. Who knew we'd have boxing-style problems making big fights happen not because of money and greed but love and friendship? It'd almost be sweet if it didn't make me want to blow my fucking brains out with a shotgun.
