Rumble realizes he enjoys middleweight, eating

Who'd have guessed a guy who's come in overweight as much as Anthony Johnson has would be enjoying fighting a weight class up? Here he is during a UFC 142 press conference going over the benefits of leaving 170 for 185 and not dehydrating yourself like a California Raisin:

"Right now, middleweight is where I am. That's all I'm thinking about, and I really don't mind fighting middleweight because I get to eat more now. So like I said, I feel 1000 times better than I did when I fought [at] 170, so that's why I'm so happy and want to fight really bad. This is going to be a lot of fun for me. So that's why I feel so good because I don't have to cut the weight that I used to cut and I'm more explosive; I'm more athletic. Everything has just come to where it needs to be right now. I'm peaking at the right time."

As far as welterweight goes, he says that's it 'so far', leaving the door open for a future return just in case eating gets boring ... not something I'm really expecting considering his habit of going all Chubby Checker between fights. Still, if he finds he can't fall back on good ol wrestlefuckin' a dude into the mat at 185 when he needs to, it might be back to rabbit food and the occassional botched weight cut down the road.
