Packers ROLB Walden making strides on field

While Erik Walden has run into some problems off the field, the consensus seems to be that he has been making steady strides on the field in the last month or so. The day after leading the team with eight tackles and registering two QB hits in the Packers' Thanksgiving Day win in Detroit, Walden was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence following an altercation with his girlfriend and was forced to spend the weekend in jail. Walden does not appear to be in any immediate danger of being suspended or reprimanded, as the details of his altercation continue to unfold. In the meantime, he is free to continue making an increasingly positive impact as the starting right outside linebacker. A more physical player after adding weight in the offseason, Walden has been getting the lion's share of action over Frank Zombo, who was sharing more of the ROLB load before injuries started taking their toll.
