Patriots players of the week: Week 13

The Patriots' offensive, defensive and special-teams players of the week from their Week 13 win over the Colts.

Offense: TE Rob Gronkowski

You would think at this point, someone would find a way to stop Gronk, but he has emerged as one of the league's elite tight ends. Gronkowski had five catches for 64 yards and two touchdowns and a two-yard TD run on a lateral. Gronkowski's 13 TD receptions tie the NFL record for most TD catches by a tight end in a season, and he has four games to set his own record. Honorable mention goes to Wes Welker, who caught all 11 passes thrown his way for 114 yards.

Defense: DT Vince Wilfork

The "D" struggled in the fourth quarter, but played well overall and Wilfork was getting great penetration early on. He finished with a team-high 10 tackles, which is impressive in itself for an interior lineman. Wilfork also recorded a sack. ILB Jerod Mayo had a diving interception and two QB hits.

Special teams: P Zoltan Mesko

On four punts, Mesko had a net average of 41.5 yards and dropped two inside the 20-yard line. He finished with a long of 52 yards and allowed only one return, although it did go for 21 yards.
