Vikings players of the week: Week 13

Here are the players of the game from the Vikings 35-32 loss to the Broncos Sunday.

Offense: WR Percy Harvin

Offensive coordinator Bill Musgrave did an excellent job of calling plays that allowed Harvin to get into space where he's most dangerous. He had eight caches for 156 yards and two touchdowns. On his two touchdowns, a 52-yarder in the third quarter and a 48-yarder in the fourth quarter, Harvin was able to get into the open field and use his athleticism to create big plays after the catch.

Defense: DE Jared Allen

Allen broke out of a mini-slump, getting a strip-sack and forcing a safety. On the safety, the Broncos were pinned inside their one and Allen came unblocked on a Willis McGahee run after TE Daniel Fells missed his assignment. The sack was a classic hustle play as Allen chased QB Tim Tebow down from behind and caused the fumble. The fumble led to a field goal right before halftime.

Special teams: P Chris Kluwe

Kluwe and the punt-coverage team had a strong day, correcting the problems that had arisen over the past few weeks. Kluwe punted six times for a net average of 44.2 yards and held the Broncos to three punt returns for 12 yards. His one punt inside the 20 landed inside the one-yard line, which led to the Allen safety.
