Adviser: Manny Pacquiao 'Fine' After Manila Bus Explosion

Michael Koncz, the adviser of eight-division titlist, Manny Pacquiao, a Philippines congressman, told FanHouse that the fighter was safe and unharmed after four people were killed and 14 others injured in an explosion that ripped through a passenger bus along Epifanio delos Santos Avenue (EDSA) in Makati City, Manila, on Tuesday afternoon.

The 32-year-old Pacquiao (52-3-2, 38 knockouts) is a congressman in the Saragani Province of his native Philippines, and the holder of the WBO welterweight (147 pounds) and junior middleweight (154 pounds) belts.

"It's unfortunate that things like that happen. We don't have all of the facts or anything. But we're fine," said Koncz of Pacquiao, who has a Top Rank Promotions, Showtime pay per view televised May 7 defense of his WBO belt opposite Shane Mosley.

"It's being investigated by the president," said Koncz. "It's something that the president of the Philippines is going to have to deal with and that he will need to address."
