I'm surprised that we don't see more missing teeth in MMA. Sure, everyone's wearing mouthguards. But everyone's wearing cups as well and that doesn't stop anyone from freaking out every time a knee grazes their bathing suit zone. Hockey players lose teeth like they're loose change. Even Goldberg is missing teeth from his time in the deadly world of pucksport. I guess that's what happens when you add sticks and pads that are more like weapons than pads.
