DT may be priority for Bears in draft

While the Bears did more than just get by with an unremarkable collection of players at defensive tackle in 2010, there could be some significant personnel changes made at the position in the offseason. Some expect DT Tommie Harris, who hasn't regained his Pro Bowl form, to be released before he's due a bonus in June, and NT Anthony Adams, who started every game in the regular season, is set to become an unrestricted free agent. We hear the Bears are interested in signing Adams to a contract extension, but the two sides haven't been able to come to an agreement, and Adams may be inclined to explore the market in free agency. DT Matt Toeaina, who was due to become a free agent before signing an extension last month, will be back in 2011, and Marcus Harrison and DL Henry Melton, who has played end and tackle, can help in the rotation, but the position figures to be a priority for the Bears in the draft.
