Following Judge Susan Nelson's ruling to end the lockout, former players union members sent out an e-mail Monday night telling its players to report to work on Tuesday morning, PFW has learned.
"Be advised," the e-mail reads, "any player going to work tomorrow is doing so under the ruling that Judge Nelson rendered today.
"Judge Nelson's court order prevents the clubs from locking out players under contract, so they can show up for work. Unless and until the judge issues an order for a stay (delay of the injunction), the teams will be in violation of Judge Nelson's order if they don't allow access."
Already, reports of players planning to go to work on Tuesday have surfaced, with the Steelers' Ryan Clark saying he and a group of teammates plan to show up at the team facility.
One player on a different team told PFW on Monday that he and several of his teammates discussed the matter by e-mail and text message.
The NFL has appealed the decision and hopes to be granted a stay. The league held a conference call Monday night to discuss its options in the short term before the appeal is heard.
