NFL will pay for some of new Vikings stadium

NFL commisioner Roger Goodell said Tuesday that the NFL will contribute money towards the Vikings' new stadium, The Associated Press and Minneapolis Star Tribune reported. The details as to how much will be financed by the league will be revealed in the coming days, the commissioner said.

The Vikings have plans to construct a $1.1 billion stadium in Arden Hills, Minn., though disputes over how the stadium wil be funded have been raised. Goodell met on Tuesday with Minnesota governor Mark Dayton, who has said previously the state will pay no more than $300 million for the project.
