Minnesota Legislature fails to pass budget; Vikings stadium deal on hold

The Minnesota Legislature completed its regular session Monday night without a new budget, and the funding of a new stadium for the Vikings has taken a backseat.

The state has been unable to establish a budget, which is putting any plans to build a new stadium on hold.

If time permits, a special session will be held to discuss the potential new stadium once a budget is put into place. The Vikings are entering the final year of their lease with the Metrodome.
