Fitzgerald far from ready to give up on Cardinals

Team sources tell us that, when Larry Fitzgerald recently mentioned in a local column the lack of a supporting WR cast possibly being a reason for the team's offensive struggles up to now (he lamented the departure of Anquan Boldin), he was not intentionally biting the hands that are so generously feeding him a hefty $120 million contract through 2018. "There's no doubt his frustration level is high," said one team insider, who claims Fitzgerald has been as good as ever this season, his early dropped pass in Week Five at Minnesota that triggered an overall lackluster offensive effort notwithstanding. "I think he regrets popping off to that columnist. He really is image conscious and takes pride in not being perceived as a diva receiver, He knows he's in it for the long haul here and genuinely still believes in both (head coach Ken) Whisenhunt and (QB Kevin) Kolb, But make no mistake: He wants his touches."
