Redskins RS Brandon Banks remains in a local hospital after being stabbed early Saturday.
Banks' agent, James Gould, told The Washington Post late Tuesday that Banks has a tube in his chest. "Taking all of the necessary precautions is very important because knife wounds are dangerous. He was knifed in the chest," said Gould.
In a statement released on Monday, Gould expected Banks to be out of the hospital by Tuesday. "In response to the well wishes, many calls and concerns for Brandon Banks, he still remains in a local hospital for precautionary reasons and is expected to be released within 24 hours. He would like to thank everyone again for their concerns," said Gould.
NBC Washington reported that Banks had superficial knife wounds after an argument escalated and he was attacked outside the D.C. club "the Park."
In his rookie season with the Redskins, Banks averaged 25.1 yards per kickoff return and 11.3 yards per punt return. He took a kickoff 96 yards for a touchdown.
