Ex-champion Antonio Margarito (38-7, 27 knockouts) trained at the Robert Garcia Boxing Academy in Oxnard, Calif., for his Nov. 13, HBO pay-per-view televised, Top Rank Promotions unanimous decision loss to southpaw WBO welterweight (147 pounds) king Manny Pacquiao (52-3-2, 38 KOs), who, in victory, earned his eighth crown in as many weight classes and the WBC junior middleweight (154 pounds) belt.

Pacquiao will defend his WBO crown in a Showtime pay per view televised May 7 fight against Shane Mosley (46-6-1, 39 KOs) in pursuit of his 14th straight win, and his ninth KO during that run.

One of Margarito's sparring partners was been lightweight David Rodela (15-3-3, six KOs), whose trainer, Rocky Garza, believes that Pacquiao is among the greatest fighters of all time.
