Titans must be more creative without DE Morgan

Titans DLE Derrick Morgan was just starting to flash as a rookie when he suffered a season-ending ACL tear in his left knee last October. The silver lining was supposed to be that Morgan would be 100 percent for the start of the 2011 campaign. That has not come to fruition, however. After experiencing soreness in the knee during camp, Morgan underwent arthroscopic surgery in late August, making him unavailable for Week One, at least. A team source said that it now makes more sense why the '10 first-rounder had been virtually nonexistent throughout camp. Although the Titans are still counting on big things from Morgan, the onus for now lies on DRE Jason Jones and DLE William Hayes to pick up the slack at end. Tennessee was already expected to find more creative ways to harass the quarterback — following the departure of DE Jason Babin — and Morgan's latest setback further necessitates bringing pressure from different parts of the field.
