The Bengals promoted rookie LB Vincent Rey from their practice squad and placed rookie CB Brandon Ghee on injured reserve.
Ghee suffered a groin injury in a Week 11 loss to the Bills, and has been out of action since. He was a third-round pick who had played in six games this season.
Rey joined to Bengals in April as an undrafted free agent. He played in all five preseason games before being released and signing with the practice squad.
The way we see it
Ghee may have a bigger role with the Bengals down the road but was primarily a special-teams contributor this season. Rey will likely fill the same role.
