Report: Rooney, Tomlin meet with Goodell

First, Lions DT Ndamukong Suh sat down with commissioner Roger Goodell to talk fines. Now it's the Steelers' brass that appears to want some clarity.

According to Fox Sports' Jay Glazer, Steelers owner Art Rooney and head coach Mike Tomlin met with Goodell and the league's football operations staff in New York on Thursday to "get on a better page" regarding the calls and fines Pittsburgh players have received.

Recently, Steelers S Ryan Clark was fined $40,000 for a helmet-to-helmet hit.

"There wasn't anything malicious about it," Clark said about the fine. He also said that Tomlin used the hit as an example of a good hit in the team's film review.

Steelers OLB James Harrison has been one of the most vocal, and most fined, players since the league began its crackdown on hits last season.
