The loss of Leon Hall to a season-ending Achilles tendon tear takes the Bengals' best cornerback out of the lineup and necessitates a reshuffling of the ranks at the position. Adam Jones, who has missed all but two games with neck and hamstring injuries, will replace Hall in the lineup in Week 11 at Baltimore, the club announced. Ex-Seahawk Kelly Jennings, who was listed as the starter at right corner on the depth chart opposite LCB Nate Clements, likely figures as the third cornerback. The new expected fourth cornerback, Brandon Ghee, was signed off the practice squad this week; a 2010 third-round pick of the Bengals, he has shown better of late after a disappointing start to his career. In an interview in June, Bengals DBs coach Kevin Coyle told PFW that Jones' technique would be key for him; the 5-10, 188-pound Jones is regarded as a remarkable athlete. The 5-11, 180-pound Jennings, acquired from Seattle in August, runs well, has good instincts and is best in zone coverage, but he can struggle with bigger receivers, a personnel man familiar with him told PFW.
