Vikings-Broncos matchup of the day: Wednesday

Here's a key matchup to watch in Sunday's Vikings-Broncos game.

Vikings cornerbacks vs. Broncos WR Eric Decker

Even though the Broncos run a rudimentary passing game with Tim Tebow at the helm, they still find ways to sneak Decker deep and come up with explosive plays.

In the game against the Chiefs in Week 10, when the Broncos attempted eight passes and only completed two of them, Decker got behind the defense to catch a 56-yard touchdown pass to clinch the victory.

Decker has done a good job of adjusting to the new, run-heavy offense and a drastically less accurate quarterback to continue producing. He has ideal size at 6-3, 218 pounds and has good speed.

The Vikings' corners have to do a better job of preventing the big play and force Tebow to work the ball methodically down the field with his arm and expose his lack of accuracy. Asher Allen, Cedric Griffin and Benny Sapp all had their struggles last week against the Falcons and need to step up their performances.

The goal has to be to prevent the big play down the field.
