Top Rank Promotions CEO Bob Arum, concerned over reports that a recent illness to junior middleweight (154 pounds) and middleweight (160 pounds) prospect Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. could cause him to pull out of Saturday night's 165-pound clash with Pawel Wolak, had to see for himself. So the 78-year-old promoter watched Chavez (40-0-1, 30 knockouts) work out at the Wild Card Boxing Club in Hollywood, Calif., on Monday, under the eye of four-time Trainer of the Year, Freddie Roach, and was satisfied that the 24-year-old would be up to the task.
