Garrard needs pregame shot for sore hamstring

David Garrard is active for the Jaguars' big Week 15 tilt with the Colts and is expected to start, but he had a bit of a pregame scare.

The Jacksonville QB had to return to the locker room following warmups to receive an injection in his sore hamstring and have it re-taped. This may limit his mobility in the game, which is not good for the Jaguars with DEs Dwight Freeney and Robert Mathis coming after him play after play.

The way we see it

If Garrard hadn't been able to play, it would have been Trent Edwards under center for the Jags, so it is good that the usual starter is able to suit up. Still, the hamstring injury could be a major factor in the outcome of today's big game.
