Falcons WR Roddy White's struggles with drops and maintaining his composure in moments of frustration have extended into the second half of the season. He's still on pace for a fifth consecutive 80-catch, 1,000-yard season, but he has scored only three touchdowns — he had at least 10 TDs in each of the past two seasons — and is doing a poor job of managing his emotions, resulting in costly penalties for a team trying to dig out of a hole and fight its way into the playoffs. Some league observers expected White's production to dip following the offseason addition of rookie WR Julio Jones. Seeing White's numbers fall a bit comes as no surprise. The mental errors, including his three personal-foul penalties, are the more concerning development for the Falcons. We hear White has indicated using more four- and five-receiver sets could be beneficial for the offense and make it harder for defenses to key on him, but right now it appears White is his own worst enemy.
