Falcons sign CB Hayden

The Falcons are making a late-offseason push to re-structure their secondary, signing CB Kelvin Hayden on Tuesday. The NFL Network's Jason La Canfora first reported the news.

Hours after signing SS James Sanders, the team added another defensive back in Hayden, who was released by the Colts following the lockout. In 77 career regular season games, the corner has made nine interceptions. He also had a pick — which was returned for a touchdown — in Indianapolis' Super Bowl XLI victory.

The Falcons had the league's 22nd ranked pass defense last season and were torn apart in a 48-21 playoff loss to the Packers last January.
