Taylor to sign, then retire with Jaguars

Fred Taylor will retire from football on Friday as a Jaguar.

The Jaguars will sign Taylor so he can retire with them, according to Tania Ganguli of the Florida Times-Union.

In 11 seasons with the Jaguars, Taylor rushed for 11,271 yards, the most in franchise history. He signed with the Patriots in 2009 and spent the past two seasons in New England.

In 2010, Taylor rushed for 155 yards and battled toe injuries. He will finish his career with 66 rushing touchdowns and eight receiving scores.

Taylor ranks 15th all time with 11,695 career rushing yards.
