Details of the sexual-assault allegations against Broncos CB Perrish Cox will be released next week, a judge decided Wednesday.
District Court Judge Paul King sided with The Associated Press and The Denver Post in his decision. Both media outlets argued for the documents to be unsealed. According to King, neither the prosecutors nor Cox's defense team proved the release of the affidavit would jeopardize Cox's right to a fair trial.
Cox pleaded not guilty in May to two felony charges — one count of sexual assault while the victim was physically helpless and one count of sexual assault while the victim was incapable of determining the nature of the conduct. The incident took place Sept. 6, 2010.
In his rookie season with Denver, Cox started nine games and recorded an interception and two forced fumbles. The trial is set for October.
