The ticket holders who lost their seats or had obstructed views at Super Bowl XLV because of the Cowboys Stadium ticket fiasco believe they should be compensated for lost income in addition to the other expenses incurred.
In a document filed in response to a motion by the Cowboys and NFL seeking to dismiss the class action lawsuit, ticket holders believe they should be paid for lost income suffered because they had to travel to Arlington.
1,250 temporary seats were deemed unsafe hours before the Super Bowl. 475 ticket holders had to watch from standing-room locations and others were relocated.
The NFL has already offered $5,000 compensation or reimbursement for documented Super Bowl XLV expenses if that figure is higher.
Michael Avenatti, the attorney representing the ticket holders, told The Associated Press, "The law permits the fans to receive 100 percent of their damages, and we intend on recovering just that."
