Ramsey Nijem hit the nail on the head when he said 'Everybody that watched TUF saw that Tony Ferguson is a dick and he does not deserve to win.' Unfortunately, the Gods of MMA care not for honor or douchiness, and last night Tony became the feel bad winner of the Ultimate Fighter - like the opposite of Amir Sadollah winning season 7. Sweet knockout though, bro.

As for Anthony Pettis, he learned that it's hard to spread your wings and fly with 155 pounds of greasy guido on top of you. He had his flashes of awesome - a missed leaping 360 back kick comes to mind - but spent most of the fight working for submissions off his back. And as we've learned over and over and over in MMA, it doesn't matter if you threaten with submissions for an entire round, you ain't gonna win in the judges' eyes if you're the bottom. I'm not saying Pettis got robbed. I'm just saying he learned a lesson ... a similar one to what Miguel Torres learned at UFC 130.

Even though Kyle Kingsbury won a decision over Fabio Maldonado, it's Fabio I'm excited about. Between him and Rick Story, blistering body shots are making a comeback and the UFC's new insurance policy may soon have a lot more cases of organ trauma as a result. He might want to stop sitting in his opponents' plums and allowing them to throw an endless parade of impressive looking knees, though. I don't care if you block half of them, nothing gives judges a bigger boner than a nice string of knees. Top control maybe, but it's close.
In the Chris Cope / Chuck O'Neil fight, Chris fought and Chuck didn't. You often see TUF matches where one guy just completely fails to show up. This was one of those moments. I'm sure Chuck O'Neil will spend the next week or two asking himself WTF that performance was all about. As for Chris Cope, he may not have finishing power but at least he's got a catchphrase. And people even seem to know and like it, proving that someone out there was watching and maybe even enjoying this season's TUF.
