The Cardinals announced Monday that they have signed CB Fred Bennett and waived-injured LB Brandon Sharpe, who has been sidelined by a hamstring injury.
Bennett, a four-year veteran who has played with the Texans, Chargers and Bengals, has played in 49 career games with 17 starts. He has 112 tackles, five interceptions, 24 passes defensed, four forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.
He played his first three seasons in Houston before being released on Aug. 29, 2010. He played four games with the Chargers and five games with the Bengals last season. He was cut by Cincinnati on Aug. 27.
