Cowboys add PK depth, sign Graham

The Cowboys have signed veteran PK Shayne Graham as insurance in case their current stable of kickers cannot recover from injury in time for the start of the season. Todd Archer of ESPN Dallas first reported the news on Tuesday.

Two of the top kickers on the Dallas depth chart — David Buehler and Kai Forbath — are both out with injury, leaving only rookie Dan Bailey healthy at the position. In the team's second preseason game, Bailey handled all of the team's kicking duties, though the Cowboys did not attempt any field goals in the 20-7 loss.

Graham, who has played with the Bills, Panthers, Bengals, Giants and Patriots since arriving in the league in 2010, was cut by the Redskins last week after missing two kicks in first week of preseason action. Last season, kicking for the Patriots, he made all 12 of his field goal attempts.
