The Raiders signed veteran CB Lito Sheppard, the team announced on Friday.
A former first-round pick, Sheppard played for the Vikings last season. In 13 games, with two starts, Sheppard had four passes defensed and 18 tackles.
Sheppard spent the first seven seasons of his career with the Eagles. In 2006, he picked off six passes. He has 19 career interceptions.
The Raiders lost Nnamdi Asomugha in free agency and have a host of young corners whom Sheppard can help mentor.
