Raiders head coach Hue Jackson told reporters Tuesday that LB Travis Goethel has a torn knee ligament and is likely to miss the entire 2011 season.
Goethel suffered the injury in practice on Monday and requires surgery.
As a rookie last season, Goethel played in eight games and recorded nine tackles. He makes most of his contributions on special teams.
