A Collective Bargaining Agreement between NFL owners and players is not expected to be reached in the next 10 days, Judy Battista of The New York Times reported Friday.
The Times report, which cited "three people who have been briefed on the negotiations," said that a deal, were one to be reached, would be more likely to be struck during the week of Sunday, July 10 than next week.
Multiple media outlets have reported that negotiations between owners and players will resume next Tuesday in New York.
The way we see it
The Times report highlights the wide range of outcomes that still appears possible with negotiations still ongoing, with one unnamed source even suggesting to the publication that games could be lost. It is clear these are complex, and perhaps fragile, negotiations.
