The Broncos announced they had placed WR Demaryius Thomas, a 2010 first-round pick, on the non-football injury list Wednesday.
Thomas suffered an Achilles tendon tear in February while working out. He must pass a physical to return to practice, according to the club, and he remains on the roster.
Thomas was bothered by foot and ankle injuries last season. He played in 10 games, starting two, and caught 22 passes for 283 yards and two TDs.
