Report: Nike re-signs Vick to endorsement deal

Nike has re-signed Eagles QB Michael Vick, CNBC's Darren Rovell reported Friday. Vick's endorsement deal had ended in 2007.

"Michael acknowledges his past mistakes," said Nike spokesman Derek Kent. "We do not condone those actions, but we support the positive changes he has made to better himself off the field."

"Michael is excited to have a long-term and strong relationship with Nike," Vick's agent Joel Segal told Rovell.

Vick spent close to two years in federal custody after pleading guilty to his role in a dogfighting ring. Nike dropped him in August 2007 after he plead guilty. Rovell reported that Nike had been giving Vick free products since his release from prison, but wasn't paying him.

Vick threw for 21 touchdowns and six interceptions last season, leading the Eagles to the playoffs.
