Nicks re-signs with Saints

OG Carl Nicks has signed his restricted free agent tender with the Saints. The team officially announced the move on Monday evening.

In three professional seasons, Nicks has started 45 games for New Orleans and was named a Pro Bowler in 2010. He is considered one of the best players in the league at his position, and at only 26, should be in line for a long-term contract in the near future.

Nicks was given a first-round tender by the team, so there was little doubt he'd re-sign with the Saints this offseason.
