Britt surrenders to police for outstanding warrants

Titans WR Kenny Britt surrendered to Nashville police on Wednesday on warrants from a false application on a license, PFW correspondent and The Tennessean writer Jim Wyatt reported.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol had two outstanding warrants out for Britt. He was charged, fingerprinted and booked. Britt is free on $2,000 bond and has a court date set for July 18.

It has been a tumultuous offseason for Britt. He was arrested earlier in June in Hoboken, NJ for resisting arrest, obstruction and tampering with evidence — although those charges were downgraded to disorderly persons offenses.

He was charged with eluding police (a felony), but that charge was downgraded as well and he paid a $478 fine.

In his second NFL season, Britt had 42 catches for 775 yards and nine touchdowns in 2010.
