The NFL decided to postpone a football operations meeting until Friday in Atlanta.
The meeting, which will inform GMs and other team personnel of the new rules and plans for opening the doors to players once again, was initially supposed to take place on Thursday. But due to delays in the voting process, the league has decided to push back it back a day.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that NFL commissioner Roger Goodell used a break in the owner's meeting Thursday evening to speak with NFLPA executive director DeMaurice Smith to try and settle the remaining differences between the players and owners on a new Collective Bargaining Agreement.
