The lawyer for Broncos CB Perrish Cox is asking a judge to not release documents that detail the sexual assault allegations against the player.
An affidavit that explains why Colorado authorities arrested Cox on September 6, 2010 could be released to the public, though at a hearing on Wednesday, Cox's attorney will argue for that not to happen.
In January, a judge ordered the document be kept confidential, saying that both Cox and the alleged victim could be subject to abuse if it were released. Media outlets, including The Associated Press and The Denver Post, asked a judge last week to reconsider that ruling, which the judge accepted. The alleged victim's name and information would be redacted before the document is released.
